Tour 2002 Photo Journal

Day one dealt us a pretty heavy blow with the car breaking down and all...but after the show in DC, CBGAV (Jon, Costas and Lucas) threw us a party with herbal refreshments and beer. The next morning we traded in the Ford for a Dodge and Lucas christened the new vehicle . What trailer??? .

Jeanie got us to Portsmouth, Ohio in record time and we played with "A Radio with Guts" . Hi Wayne! At that show Mike busted his hand up on the drums OUCH!

We drove to Ashland and stayed at Brandon and Megan's where Dan and I got pretty silly . Later that night some people took a ride in a pick up truck and went to a diner where they met Crazy Pat and danced with her.

The next day we drove to Louisville where we skated hardcore . That night we rocked the BRYCC House with the NEW Lynnwoods and later, celebrated Jeanie's twenty-seventh birthday where she almost did a shot!!! .

In Nashville, the Fan Fare Festival was happening. I felt underdressed. We played at THE END with the NOWHERE SQUARES . Lew said that those two names did not sound like they would make for a promising evening. But DBA always has fun .

Team Emu played with us in Birmingham . They have matching guitars.

Jackson, Mississippi didn't know what they were in for . Marsh and Daphne of The Overnight Lows let us stay at their house. Lew thought Daphne was pwetty!!!

Next stop was Austin, Texas. Where we stayed with Hoopty and Lindsay and ate too much burrito. By this point in the tour, Lew had gotten sick, so Dan tried to make him feel better by playing his flutophone for him . Lew didn't like it.

Lucky DBA got to stay with Chad and Jessa for a few days and pee in their apartment complex's pool . Chad and Jessa went with us to a few shows. One show was an "in store appearance" with Fish boy (and Sweat Pants) and Lucy Loves Schroder . The record store gave me free mocha coffee drinks...as much as I wanted.

Mr. Kwan let us play at his Cafe in Waco Texas. My friend, Andrew, set up that show and brought us breakfast burritos in the morning. I call this next picture of Andrew's brother, "Jimmy Eat Cheesecake" .

When it came time to dip out of Texas, we headed west. Its a long way through that desert , so we rested .

Our show in Tucson paid us in store credit, which was cool because we got a LOT of things (and free pizza from Aaron's work). Records, books, CDs, and the lady behind the counter even helped Dan pick out a good nudie movie . After the show we partied at Brad's house (friend of the Retainers). Brad had TWO trampolines in his back yard . Brad's wife even gave Jeanie a pair of roller skates (she fell down once or twice, hence the dirty booty).

In California, we learned that there's some pretty cool stuff in Death Valley and that La La Land has beautiful beaches .

Portia (the DBA manager) and Fon-Lin met up with us for some shows in Portland, Seattle, Longview.

Some of the drives through the mid-west would be long and boring, so Jeanie gave Lew a make-over !

In Missoula, Montana, Jeanie arm wrestled a big tough skinhead , named Carvis, who later did a whole bunch of penis tricks with this guy at the after-show party.

At this point, the tour was about a week from over, so we started to live it up as much as possible. Most bands liked that. We met Space Ape in St. Paul, and played a good show with The Retreads and Shakes at punkrocknight.com in Indianapolis. We partied , and partied more at Ike's Dive, then a frog pooped , and then we partied even more, maybe too much . We love the Eichackers.

Now we are getting close to home, which means visiting Ryan Droppa and playing with his great band, The Teen Sensation Glasses . There were some honeys at the show.

The last show was in Warren, Pennsylvania. We played at a skate park on top of some ramps. That night was our last after-show party . Jeanie dyed a guy from the Gamma Rays and my hair . Some people slept outside that night.

We miss our roadie, Lew .
